LogicLink(ing)

This is about the possibility of connecting two or more logics with each other on request. This application is interesting if, for example, both a 2m and a 70cm repeater are operated at one location. These can be „linked“ to each other if required, e.g. during a public address. Soon it will be possible to define the way more freely, e.g. the automatic and permanent connection at the start of SvxLink, etc.

Please do not confuse this „LogicLinking“ with the Simplex links.

Activation by an entry in the respective area of a logic within /etc/svxlink/svxlink.conf:

[GLOBAL]

LINKS=TestLink
LOGICS=RepeaterLogic_70cm,RepeaterLogic_2m

[RepeaterLogic_70cm]

[RepeaterLogic_2m]

[TestLink]
NAME=2Relay
CONNECT_LOGICS=RepeaterLogic_70cm:32:70cm,RepeaterLogic_2m:33:2m
DEFAULT_ACTIVE=1
AUTOACTIVATE_ON_SQL=1
TIMEOUT=300

Description of the

CONNECT_LOGICS
Here the logics and commands are configured that are to be connected to each other. The format is Logicname1:Command1:Designation1,Logicname2:Command2:Designation1
Example:
CONNECT_LOGICS=DB0ABC:34:ABC,DB0XYZ:72:XYZ
To connect both logics, command 341# must be called from DB0ABC, command 721# from DB0XYZ.
The commands 340# and 720# lead from the respective logic to the disconnection of the connection.

DEFAULT_ACTIVE
If this parameter is =1, both logics are connected immediately after the start of SvxLink.

TIMEOUT
Time in seconds after which the connected logics are disconnected again if no radio communication has been conducted over them.

NAME
Name for this configuration, is passed to the TCL scripts when connecting and can be announced e.g. when connecting/disconnecting.
