Activation in /etc/svxkink/svxlink.conf through
Configuration file /etc/svxlink/svxlink.d/ModuleMetarInfo.conf
# insert ICAO airport shortcuts here. You can
# request the METAR by sending dtmf commands as follows

Description of the
The name of this module, e.g. NAME=MetarInfo
The unique identification number that must be uniquely assigned for each SvxLink module. The activation of the module takes place with ID=3 with the command 3#.
The module terminates automatically after the configured time (in seconds) if no activity occurred.
Here you configure the format in which the metadata is transmitted. Currently only TXT and XML are valid.
Configure the server name or IP address of the server from which the metadata is to be downloaded. The http:// should be omitted here, e.g. SERVER=tgftp.nws.noaa.gov
Enter the path on the server where the file with the metadata can be found, for example: LINK=data/observations/metar/stations
When the METAR module is activated, the weather data of the configured station are immediately retrieved and output.
For certain METAR information, the short form is not output but the complete description of the tag, e.g. instead of „NOSIG“ -> „no significant change“ or „CAVOK“ -> „ceiling and visibility OK“.

If „=1″, then the METAR sections are also output in the RMK (Remark) area. Here you can find runway information, weather trends etc.. Unfortunately, there is no consistent standard here which is adhered to by all stations. Therefore there is no guarantee that every day will be spent properly.
If „=1″, then an extended logging takes place in the svxlink log, then errors can be analyzed when retrieving the weather information.
Comma-separated list of weather stations that can be retrieved by command. The retrieval takes place in the order of the configuration. e.g.
With this configuration the weather information of Leipzig can be retrieved after activation of the METAR module and the command „1#“, with „2#“ the weather information of Munich, with „3#“ of Stuttgart etc….
